Head Quarters by Caveau

I cannot comment on the name, but the salad was good, the steak and chips exceptional, and the Crème Caramel good with real vanilla bean flecks, but slightly gelatinous on the tongue. Brave restaurant. I hope Cape Town respects the integrity and the braveness of a no choice menu. Well done Caveau crowd!

I went again on Monday for lunch. Just as good! Excellent beef. Grass fed I believe. about a third full one week in for a restaurant with no menu and no options. Ballsey. I am still impressed at the daring approach. Tarte Tartin for dessert was a little disappointing, to their credit they took it off the bill. Lacked a little caramelisation and crispness and the pastry just wasn't there. Not bad as such, but just not what a restaurant this sexy deserves to serve.
